All I need is help making a new demo
KMXP MORNING SHOW SIDEKICK/PRODUCER

KMXP, Phoenix has a rare opening for a candidate to handle news and traffic reports while being a great sound board for the host. Candidate will also appear daily on a local television station via cut-ins from the radio station. Board operating skills and experience with Nexgen are preferred. Candidate will also be responsible for assisting website updating for the show and candidates own web pages and blog. This is a collaborative environment and candidate will be expected to provide input and suggestions to help in the continued development of the morning day-part. Ability to connect with a 30 year old female is desired along with knowledge of the stations Modern AC format including music and artists. Candidate may be expected to do paid endorsements and paid remotes. Please provide an air-check with your resume and photo. Packages without an air-check will not be accepted.

Who can help me this weekend with making a new demo? I just need the help from someone who has better audio recording software than I do(all I got is Goldwave and a crappy mic). If anyone can help me out here I'll pay you for your time and I'll take well less than an hour if I prep my material. If I get this lead nailed down everything ever will fall into place working in my industry of choice, being in a situation where I can make more money than all my friends put together, networking with the right peeps, not selling air conditioners, being relevant again, and my wrestling promotion getting publicity that it would otherwise not get thus standing a fighting chance.

June?
Was June even on the calendar this year? What happened there? And why did I just spell that as Whappened only to realize what I was doing half way through and stop to change it?

I've taken hundreds of photos over the past two months or so (thousands, maybe even.) Most of this is due to my discovery of burst mode (I knew it existed, just hadn't really found use for it until now.) I've also realized how these past two paragraphs have all of their sentences ending the same way (such as the first with question marks and this with parentheses.)

Where was I? Oh yeah, June and pictures. Oh! I have pictures of June! There it is! (I've somehow stumbled across the missing month in my file storage.) Let's see. Ah, yes. June has been spent Mostly with Shannon, Gloria and the kids, in the heat and typically surrounding the public piss pond.

Falyne's summer goals were to learn to read (working on it), ride her bike without training wheels (she quickly decided it would be better to keep them forever), and join a swim team. We got her into the swim team and the first day of practice she learned something new. There is a dive team. So now she's on both the swim team and the dive team. This requires four days of getting up at seven am for practice and then two days for evening meets. Erg. Did you know it's already over 105 degrees at eight o'clock in the morning? Well, it is.

Since we were already going to be at the pool and so I would have company in my misery, Shannon enrolled Evie in the swim lessons level one. Ethan came and joined Evie's class the very next day. Sadly, Evie is still afraid of the pool and thus is in her third session of level one. At least she has stopped screaming about it. Ethan still is not overly fond of the lessons, but he listens more. I think the instructors are holding back and taking it easy on him because he is so small. It seems they make him do less than the other kids. He is also in his third session of level one. He swims fine with his arm floaties at home. Evelyn, on the other hand, has a full sized swim vest and still refuses to swim on her own in it. She does like the baby pool at the public piss pond though so maybe we should be taking her there with her swim vest during public swim hours (when it's 115 outside, uh.)

How about summer outings? We've done some of those! Seriously, it's like we're forcing the kids to relive our youth. In better style though. Two of us have full sized under ground pools, whereas we used to all have some form of floppy side kid pool, slip n' slide, sprinklers or mud pit. Last Friday Shannon and I took the small girls to Castles n' Coasters where Falyne learned that she is in fact tall enough to ride the big roller coaster. Evie is tall enough with her shoes on, but she decided big roller coasters just aren't her thing yet and politely declined the opportunity to test it out. We also took them to the movies on Friday. We saw Kung Fu Panda. It was good Jack Black comedy but I probably wouldn't pay to see it again. Evie sat through the whole thing quietly though so I guess it was fantastic for her. We went back to Castles n' Coasters after the movie, then left to get drinks from Sonic, hit some drunk dude on a bike and hurry up to make it in time for bowling. Both the kids came to play at the bowling alley also. Evie did not run down the oily lane this time, so I call it a success.

Yesterday we went to Skateland with all three kids. Ethan still does not think it is fair of us to expect him to remain upright with wheels on his feet when he so recently learned to walk. Fair enough. He enjoyed the arcade. Evie used her own skates but eventually decided cheating at ski ball was way more fun. Falyne actually did pretty well for her first time on actual roller skates. Gloria and I decided I need to buy new roller blades because rentals are quite painful. Shannon still has her roller blades. Lucky bitch.

The Remus Lupins! We went to their show. Great as usual. Loud, also as usual. My ears still hurt.. though I think that stemmed from jumping into the deep end of Gloria's pool without earplugs on. Stupid idea there. I now have a hole in my right eardrum and quite the pressure problem with both ears. Oh right, Remus Lupins. Shannon bought the new CD (I still need a copy) and I got the two Gred and Forge CDs while I was there. Falyne was quite the fan girl as she danced in the back of the room and then went up on her own to talk to Alex (the lead singer.) I still have no idea what they talked about, but he hugged her and she very giddily ran back to tell us about it. Also, "No one ever hangs out with their cousins, anyway." Annie and I cracked up laughing. It was awesome.

We had an impromptu pool party at Gloria's house a couple weeks ago. It was just us and the kids swimming but then David got of work and literally jumped in out of nowhere. Seriously, the first thing I saw was a shadow on the water and then a dark figure in the pool. I looked around and saw Shannon and Gloria and then said "Who the hell was that??" David's dad came out to join us too (he lives in their back house) and we had a rather large and violent water balloon fight, which may have added to my ear troubles since Gloria kept hitting me in the head. My face was bruised the next day. David's dad commented on our accuracy in throwing and how competitive we were. We explained to him that we grew up with water balloon fights and this what we do. He seemed okay with that and then got out the supersoakers. Speaking of, Ethan has incredible aim with the supersoakers. A two year old who can spray you in the eye from across the length of the pool.

Movies I've seen in the Theatres recently:

Iron Man - OMG MUST OWN
Prince Caspian - I really liked. It actually made me go out and Netflix the first one, which was not so good. That may be because I had already read the book for that one. Also, I really hate the whole Turkish Delight thing. We're not even going towards the whole selling out your family for pastries thing, there's just something about the name that irks me. Now it's haunting me every time Evie whines about wanting "Sunny Delight." I wish they would go back to just calling it Sunny D, srsly.
Crystal Skull - Pretty damn awesome for an Indy flick. I'm not as into the original trilogy as Shannon is (okay, I just realized I hadn't actually seen all of them all the way through until just recently, and even then I skipped the second one because the disc Robin rented was defunct, but still.) Well done and damn right for wrapping up the storyline.
Kung Fu Panda - (as mentioned above)
Wall-E - Cute but kinda slow paced.
The Incredible Hulk - Good, especially the very end. Falyne also did quite the fangirl squeal when she confirmed that Robert Downey Jr was in fact Tony Stark. Seriously she said "That looks like Iron Man" and I said, "It is Iron Man" and she said "TONY STARK IS IN THE HULK?? OMG YAY!"
Hancock - So awesome! And the trailers managed to not spoil any of the surprises!

In other news, the new Highlander movie (The Source) is so horrible I couldn't stop laughing at it. There is an 80's music video montage in which they play the theme song (covered by someone not Queen) and show the characters walking through fog. FOR THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE SONG. Seriously the worst movie I have ever seen. Except that it's not because I totally don't regret watching it. It may in fact be the best thing I have ever seen. I'm not sure.

I think this has gotten long enough. Kudos to you if you've made it this far with out skimming. Until next time.

Last night, met up with Sheryl and my mom at Lowes where they had picked out a new Air Conditioner. Right when it was paid for, I noticed the rating for voltage and amps, and we had to do the quickest return ever. They hadn't looked to see if it would even work without an adapter.

Then we went to the Verizon store to see about changing service, and it turns out we'd probably end up paying the same rate we are now, or more, for less minutes.

Then we went to Applebee's for dinner, I had a Cajun Talepia (sp?) that I have been really regretting since. It was wayyyy spicier than I thought and my digestive system has been violently protesting since. I didn't sleep very well last nigh and I thought I was going to throw up about 5 times already this morning, plus a headache.

fun day.

At least now the headache is going away.

Just got a spam message in one of our support email addresses with the subject "sperms of endearment"

that just made my day.

There are two Spaceballs icons I need to find or make.

One is Dark Helmet and Colonel Sanders watching Spaceballs the movie "now" and looking back in the camera.

The other is Barf leaning out of Eagle-5 flipping off the guards.

Facial hair...a test in love...or something.
during the 1869 scenes from the film shoot, Robert and I was chatting about possibly showing up for the hippie/beatnik scenes the following week. I mentioned I'd try but no gaurantees...it was at that time R suggestd I be a beatnik and grow facial hair...then mentioned he had never seen it on me...then a few jabs at klae or something(for his exquisite beard thingy..or something)...so I undertook the bet...I'd grow my hair for one week and see what I get.

...what you get is a lot of stress when you live with someone that detests facial hair...very lonely nights on the couch with only a cat would love.

...well I assume...because I did none of that. Although there is something about being tackled like tigger to pooh-bear the moment you shave it off.

and the fact is...I could grow a pretty good moustache...but still can't connect to a goatee well...or grow a full one for that matter.

pictures soon.

my mind is evil...during lunch at the shoot I had the opportunity to listen in as one cowboy told his life story to some young lady questioning about working in film...I believe the last thing I heard from the convo "This film here will be my 13th film, knock on wood(Knocks on table...which is metal)..[out loud]Someone give me some wood to knock on!"

"Try your head." - said my brain.

...well I thought it was funny.

Yes it's true, I have turned my financir, uh fieancir, whatever(you take the blonde I'll take the one in the turban) into a gamer geek for sure as she directed me to the fact Game Crazy had some Wii's in stock, so we grabbed like packrats.

The gaming presence is pretty much the tried and tested place a sensor on top of your tv and the controller bounces a laser back at it...my CD-i used that for all it's gun games, but nintendo pretty much took it as far as it could possibly go right now with something as simple. The rumors about exercising are painfully true as my shoulders are little sore from playing baseball on wiisports all night.

that's kewl.

...yes for the record, I have already got Res Evil - Umbrella Chronicles...which follows in the line of the 1st person shooting gallery games(a la time crisis, house of the dead, etc). For the type of game that it is, I definately so far put it on par with Res Evil Dead Aim, except the games previous were more choose your own destination...for UC you're pretty much on the same path. Some the storylines are different from the games too(ie Chris and Jill going through the mansion together), but still a faithful rendition...I do love hearing weskers voice again

the hardest thing about sitting on the fence is slipping and catching yourself with your crotch by accident...so I learn to take real careful steps.

..and I have Harvey Birdman AAL :D

(Due South flavored dreams, yo. I have not been taking notes for a while, because mom has started watching with me and prefers the player at full screen instead of a smaller window with my eleventy things going on beside it. Still. MOM LIKES IT TOO.)

I get [info]glishara and family in this week(end). My house is still a mess. Mom is off today, though, so maybe we will get work done on that.

Last Saturday's Wilmette show was a lot more fun that I expected. There was more of a crowd, and gotta love a sexy Frank.

Folks got a sneak preview to the upcoming Batman show. Jenny was dressed as Robin, so I put on the purple tophat, bowtie and cigarette holder and waddled around as The Penguin.

I swear, I think I'm gonne be going "Waauugh, Waauugh, Waauugh" all fracking summer.
